A Bronze Medal from Arts-Sciences-Lettres for Nadine GENEST,  a painter from Honfleur in Normandy  for her works

On May 18th, at the Pavillon Dauphine in Paris 16, Dominique PINEL et Nadine GENEST, the couple of artists from Arthur Boudin Square in Honfleur, have each receivedse a Arts-Sciences-Lettres Diploma from the French actress Marthe Mercadier.

Dominique, who had received a Bronze Medal in 2001, received a Silver Medal and his wife received a Bronze Medal. "It was a beautiful and touching ceremony", says Nadine GENEST.

The heart choice of a delegate

The selection of the couple from Honfleur was made by chance and by heart. Indeed, a Arts-Sciences-Lettres delegate, who goes through France to find out talented artists who could receive a Medal, went in Honfleur. Nadine GENEST explains : "Seeing our gallery, she entered and was seduced by the paintings, especially by the difference of our works, and said : both really deserve a Medal."

For those who know the two painters from Honfleur, their works are not comparable but complementary. Nadine paints the imaginary. She is playing with matters and colours. Dominique has a more figurative style. Concerning the rewards, he concludes : "What pleases me is the fact our works is recognized by professionals". In addition to this reward, the artist is now in the AKOUN guide (the reference for the painters cotations).

Nadine GENEST (Najda), a painter from Honfleur in Normandy, is exhibiting her cows at the post-office of Honfleur

 The post-office of Honfleur directed by Claudine Céreuil celebrated the national post day in Honfleur, the city of the painters, artists workshops and art galleries.

Since yesterday, entering in the post-office of Honfleur,  clients are welcome with an exhibition of paintings representing cows (acrylic and mixed technique paintings), not any cows, but very colourful ones, works of the painter from Honfleur Nadine GENEST which the emotional and childish side is a specificity of her imaginary. "This occurred by chance, explains Claudine Céreuil, going ro a walk in Honfleur, I saw these paintings in the art gallery of Nadine and Dominique PINEL, Arthur Boudin Square. Nadine accepted to lend some of them for the French Post Day". This is moreover interesting that French Post edited special stamps representing cows for this special event".

In October 2004, Najda (Nadine GENEST), a painter from Honfleur where she has her own art gallery, has received a bronze Medal at the Salon d'automne of Saint-Mandé (near Paris)
